Far removed from the hustle of Imperial Life, and it's propaganda, simple Aerilonians enjoy a great deal of personal liberties, though the Provincial authorities enjoy broad policing powers. Aerilonians often do without even the most basic of amenities, including running water, and electricity.
All in all, despite ridicule, and economic hardship, the Aerilonians are known as a friendly, hardy people, a proverbial 'Aschen Redneck' who would just as quickly drink with you as he would offer the clothes from their backs to those in need.

Taurons
Province: Tauron, Langara
Provincial Capital: Hypatia
Major industries: Agriculture, manufacturing, Livestock
Native Language: Tauron
Known slurs used against Taurons: Dirt Eater
Educational Institutions: University of Hypatia
Publications: The Tauron Globe Times
Noteable Tauron Families:
Fazekas, Adama
As a culture, Taurons are noted for their stoicism, as well as for their elaborate use of tattoos, noting their various accomplishments and failures, roles in society, and other social attributes — in essence, each tattoo has its own story and significance. Taurons are looked upon as "dirt eaters" and are treated as second-class citizens within the rest of the Aschen Empire. Tauron children are known to play with bones from chicken's feet, as one would play with a rubber ball and metal jacks. Further, a Tauron male is considered a man at thirteen years of age.
When in mourning, they wear black gloves as a possible way to distance themselves from the world. Tauron services include family gatherings, songs, tattoos and aim at the people left behind to let their loved ones go. It is also traditional for the deaths of family members to be avenged: "blood for blood". This may be due to the Tauron belief that no one truly dies until their death is avenged, as their soul is believed to be caught in between life and death.
The Ha'la'tha is a Tauron-based criminal organization operating within the Empire. The organization's name is Tauron for "always faithful to the soil". Its leader is known as the Guatrau.
Tauron Civil War resulted from the conflict between the Ha'la'tha and the Tauron government. After their defeat and the subsequent attempted genocide by Heraclitus death squads, members of the Ha'la'tha fled the country, and off world, engaging in criminal activities to fund themselves and slowly becoming an organized crime syndicate instead of resistance fighters as before.
Members sport tattoos on their faces and across the length of their bodies, but one tattoo that all members must have is one that visually represents the oath a member swore upon entering the organization. Tattooing is a custom followed across Tauron society, but many within the Empire associate it exclusively with the Ha'la'tha.
